From the East or West:
Take I-90 (MASS PIKE) to Exit 4 toward HOLYOKE
Merge onto I-91 North to- EXIT 19- toward NORTHAMPTON / AHMERST
Stay straight to go onto DAMON ROAD (0.9 mile)
Damon Road becomes BRIDGE ROAD (2.3 miles)
Turn Right onto N. MAIN ST / MA-9
The Medical Canter entrance is just a short distance and is marked by a clearly visible sign on the right.

From the South:
From I-91 North, Take the RT-9 exit - Exit 19 - toward NORTHAMPTON / AMHERST
Stay straight to go onto DAMON ROAD (0.9 mile)
Damon Road becomes BRIDGE ROAD (2.3 miles)
Turn Right onto N. MAIN ST / MA-9

From the North:
From I-91 South, Take the US-5 / RT-10 exit - Exit 20 - toward RT-9 / NORTHAMPTON / HADLEY
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto N. KING ST / US-5 / MA-10 (0.1 mile)
Turn RIGHT onto BRIDGE RD (2.3miles)
Turn Right onto N. MAIN ST / MA-9

Public Transportation:

The Northampton VAMC is located on the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) bus Line. The Bus runs from 6:05AM to 8:05PM daily. For more information on the Bus schedule, you can visit their website.**

There are also local Taxi services available to citizens.

Shuttles depart from the Northampton VA Medical Center in Leeds at 7:30 AM on the following days to the following destinations: 

VA Connecticut (Newington and West Haven campuses): Monday-Friday
VA Boston (West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain campuses): Monday-Friday
VA White River Junction: Wednesday and Thursday only
 
In addition, a shuttle leaves from the Springfield Community-Based Outpatient Clinic at 8 a.m. to Northampton: Monday-Friday

Reservations are necessary for the shuttle to VA facilities in Connecticut, Boston and White River Junction.  To reserve a seat on the shuttle, enrolled Veterans should contact the scheduling clerk at (413) 582-3010. Be sure to have your appointment date and time when you call.

Shuttle may be cancelled due to severe weather conditions or if no reservations are made for that shuttle. Shuttles do not run on federal holidays or weekends.
