Enroll today in a "MOVE" program near you. MOVE! is the VA's program to help Veterans manage their weight.

"MOVE" helps veterans lose weight, keep it off, and improve their health. The program emphasizes health and wellness through nutrition and physical activity, behavior change, and focuses on lifestyle.

The program is designed to help patients meet their individual needs, and includes regular follow-up and support.

Veterans who are enrolled for care at the Northampton VA Medical Center or any of its Community Based Outpatient Clinics are eligible to participate in weekly group meetings. Meetings are held at the main campus in Leeds, and at the clinics in Pittsfield and Springfield.

There is no cost associated with this program.

To participate, veterans should contact their primary care provider at VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System by calling (413) 584-4040, or visit any of the outpatient clinics in central or western Massachusetts.

Veterans who are not enrolled in VA healthcare can call the VA’s Eligibility Office at (413) 582-3091 for information on the application process.

Veterans are also invited to log on to http://www.move.va.gov/ for more information on the MOVE program.
