VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System
Pharmacy
About the Program
On site pharmacy services are available at the Northampton VA Medical Center in Leeds and at satellite clinics in Worcester and Springfield at community-based outpatient clinics. The pharmacy at Leeds provides pharmaceutical care to the patients residing in the inpatient units at the Northampton medical center.
Outpatient prescriptions are available at the Northampton, Worcester and Springfield locations for urgent or acute needs. All prescription refills and prescriptions for routine care will be mailed.
The VA uses a national formulary of drugs available. This formulary, or drug listing, is updated monthly and can be viewed at www.pbm.va.gov. Prescriptions from non VA providers cannot be filled at the VA pharmacy. All such prescription requests have to be discussed with your VA provider. Please share the above link to the VA formulary with your non-VA provider.
